A New Literary Journal Specifically for People Who Are Waiting for their clothes to dry...Literature for Laundrymats is a journal dedicated to providing writing to the people who find themselves waiting for their clothes to finish their tumbles. The zine will be provided free to laundrymats in the Bay Area, and sent to those outside in exchange for mailing costs.
We accept submissions of Poetry (send a few, no more than 10 pages), Fiction and Non-Fiction, (10,000 words, Max), Art (five or six pieces should be plenty), and other stuff (I dunno, we've got 32 pages to work with so use your judgments). Sadly, we can't pay for pieces right now other than in copies (1 for sure, if you want a couple of more, let us know!) and high praise! Content things? Well, porn ain't gonna get pubbed, as there's other stuff (really violent material, anything that comes off abusive, anything against the law in the US) but we'd love anything else that might come from your head! EditorChristopher J Garcia is a Fanzine Editor (Yes, he's won a couple of Hugo Awards), Painter (Yes, he's an abstract painter), Writer (Yes, he's got a book out) and family man from Boulder Creek, California. He's also frequently bored while waiting for the kids' clothes to finish up at the laundrymat. ArchivesCategories |
